Children's Day - how did it come about?

Discover the origins of this day dedicated to children!

Children's Day is a commemorative date celebrated annually in honour of children, the actual day varies according to the country. In our country, this date is celebrated on 1 June. In the case of Brazil, this commemoration occurs on 12 October. The history of Children's Day dates back to the beginning of the 20th century.

A bit of history about Children's Day

In 1925, the International Children's Day was proclaimed in Geneva during the World Conference for the Welfare of the Child and has been celebrated ever since. However, the United Nations (UN) recognises 20 November as World Children's Day because it is the date on which the Universal Declaration of the Rights of the Child was adopted in 1959. On this day, the member states recognised that all children, regardless of race, colour, religion, social origin, country of origin, have the right to affection, love and understanding, adequate food, medical care, free education, protection from all forms of exploitation and to grow up in a climate of peace and brotherhood.

To celebrate this day we have created a variety of hampers to offer. By offering a Children's Day hamper, a unique and special gift that is not only delicious but also full of surprises and wooden toys to entertain, will make this day memorable and will surely bring a smile to the youngest.
