Origin and Plantation

A região de cultivo de Tarrazu está localizada ao sul da capital San Jose. Quando Colombo lançou âncora na Costa Rica, ainda não havia café para ser encontrado. Há apenas 250 anos, as primeiras plantas foram trazidas de Cuba para o país. Hoje, são mais de cem cafeeiros por cidadão.

Planting Information

This is the finest coffee from small producers located in the region between San Marcos de Tarrazú and Santa Maria de Dota, the heart of Costa Rica's world famous Tarrazú coffee region. The coffee is harvested exclusively by hand, which ensures that only the ripe red cherries of the coffee are used in production. The traditionally fermented, washed and dried coffee goes through four more processes that strongly affect the quality: it is sorted by size, colour, density and weight.
