The Soccer World Cup has started and nothing better than gathering with friends to watch our team play. And since snacks are always a good idea, here are some recipes to make quickly and easily: chicken wings, crispy chickpeas, crispy potato skins and tomato and cheese bruschetta!
Chicken wings
Ingredients
- 24 chicken wings
- Salt q.s.
- 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 stout beer
- Olive oil q.b.
Preparation
- Place the dry ingredients in a bowl and add the beer. Mix.
- Add the chicken wings to the marinade. Let it rest for at least 1 hour.
- Place the chicken wings in a baking dish with olive oil and bake in a preheated oven at 180º for 50 minutes or until golden.
- Accompany with french fries and sauces to taste.
Crispy Chickpeas
Ingredients
- 500gr boiled chickpeas
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon cumin powder
- salt to taste
- chili flakes to taste
Preparation
- If using purchased chickpeas, drain and rinse with water. Then dry with a kitchen towel.
- Place all ingredients in a large bowl and mix.
- Preheat the oven to 180ºC and prepare the baking tray with parchment paper or a silicone sheet.
- Place the chickpeas on the tray and bake for 30 to 40 minutes (in fan mode, preferably), turning 1 to 2 times halfway through cooking.
- Allow the beans to cool completely before removing and serving.
Crispy Potato Skins
Ingredients
- 1 kg of potato skins
- ½ tablespoon olive oil
- Salt q.s.
- Pepper to taste
Preparation
- Wash the potatoes very well and dry the skin very well.
- Peel the potatoes and try to make long strips of the skin in one motion.
- Season the potato skins with the olive oil, salt and ground pepper.
- Distribute the peels evenly on a tray lined with parchment paper or silicone foil.
- Take to preheated oven at 200º for about 20 minutes or until they are crispy and golden. Halfway through turn the strips so they bake evenly.
- Serve the shells with garlic mayonnaise.
Tomato and Cheese Bruschetta
Ingredients
2 medium tomatoes, peeled and seeded
- 1 clove of minced garlic
- 1 piece of baguette
- 1 ricotta cheese
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- salt and fresh thyme q.s.
Preparation
- Cut the tomato into small pieces.
- Add the minced garlic, salt, olive oil and thyme leaves.
- Cut the baguette slices and toast.
- Place the previous mixture on top of the slices.
- Sprinkle the slices with crumbled cheese on top.
- Decorate with thyme leaves and serve immediately.
